Coronavirus
A Fork in the Road This is life in the time of coronavirus in a suburban town. When I look out of my living room, nothing has changed, except for one sign thanking healthcare workers. Here, average people like me don't see the harsh, cruel side of our existence, just hints of a more fragmented, more hesitant life. I take color photographs and then I let the threshold function in Photoshop "choose" what is going to be turned into black and white. The virus is reminding us that arbitrary forces are much more powerful than we want to believe in our society. I allow an algorithm to do the same with my images.
